CleanMyKeyboard
Blocks keyboard and trackpad input temporarily so cleaning does not type anything.
What it does
Locks input for as long as the window is open, so a cloth over the keys cannot trigger keystrokes, shortcuts or clicks. Exiting takes a deliberate action the cleaning cloth will not perform.
That is the entire app, and it is the correct scope for the problem.
Notes
Free on the App Store. macOS has no built-in equivalent short of logging out — which does not stop the trackpad either.
